How can we continue to pray when it feels like God's not answering our prayers? | Word First

[Music] one of the toughest things when we pray is when we go before the Lord and we pray and then sometimes it seems like our prayers are being unanswered by the Lord and it's at those moments that I always like to remind myself that the Lord is answering my prayers but he may be giving me the answer of no for a good reason at that particular time what I like to remind myself is that I am so limited in my perspective of my children I can only see a nearer little glimpse into what the Lord is actually doing in their lives God is over all he sees all and he is everywhere he's all-powerful he's all-knowing he's all good he knows exactly what my children need way more than I actually do and so in those moments when it seems like he's holding back good from my children I can actually trust my children to him that he made them he knows most what they need he's the better parent of my children and so I can entrust those prayers to him and I can keep praying and asking God to do what I see would maybe be the thing that would help them the most but at the same time always trusting that he is working toward their best good in whatever way he is leading in their lives [Music]
